Virago Reading Week + Reading Between the Wars

No date for this one yet, but get your green-spined beauties ready. Rachel of Book Snob and Carolyn of A Few of My Favourite Books are putting together a Virago Reading Week. Rachel predicts late January/early February and what could be a better way to brighten the dark reaches of winter than to dive into enticing Virago list?

Virago’s list is very strong on inter-war writers. Small world department (and, yes, book blogging really is a small world) — Anbolyn of Cousins Read has put together a new “group reading project” called Reading Between the Wars. It will extend for the 2011 calendar year. If you’re interested, click on over there and send an email to join in.

About carolwallace

I spend most of my time writing and reading. Most recent publications: the reissue of "To Marry an English Lord,"one of the inspirations for "Downton Abbey," and the historical novel "Leaving Van Gogh." I am too cranky to belong to a book group but I love the book-blogging community.

Thanks for mentioning my project, Carol!

Actually, I was going to suggest it to a few other bloggers whose work dovetails with it. Would that be OK?

I was really impressed by all the research you did. Very inspiring!
